What is Casein protein?
Casein protein is a protein found in cow's milk. When carrying the same amino acid profile as whey protein, casein protein is absorbed at a different rate.
Casein protein is a slow-releasing protein. In other words, after ingestion, your muscles will be 'drip-fed' casein for several hours. Casein protein is often considered 'anticatabolic' as it provides a steadier stream of acids and protein supply to prevent muscle breakdown.
What percentage of casein is the Amino Z Casein?
The sole protein source of our product is milk protein concentrate, thereby our product contains 80% casein and 20% whey.
What does the research show for casein protein supplementation?

When should I take casein protein?
Since casein protein is slower digesting we recommend consuming it before long fasting periods (i.e periods whereby you're not consuming nutrients or food for 4+ hours). Examples include before bed or as a final meal before fasting.
What does Casein taste like?
Casein is generally considered to have a pleasant taste. It should be noted that casein is thicker than standard whey protein.
Why is this product so much cheaper than similar products on the market?
Many other brands incur a high degree of costs associated with producing products. It is not uncommon for a product to be produced by a third-party manufacturer and then shipped (or imported) to a wholesaler. The wholesaler then sells to a retail store, who on-sells to the customer. The end result is that often four separate businesses are taking profits at each stage (the brand itself, the manufacturer, the wholesaler and the retailer).
We take a very different approach which allows us to keep our cost structure down and we pass those savings on to you, without sacrificing product quality.
