How is this whey protein isolate protein different to other whey proteins?

Whey protein can come in various forms, most commonly whey protein isolate (WPI) and whey protein concentrate (WPC). Whey protein isolate is a very high quality form of whey protein which undergoes additional processing relative to whey protein concentrate. This results in a higher protein percentage and a lower fat and carbohydrate percentage. WPI is a superior protein to be consuming post-workout to help facilitate recovery and muscle growth for this reason. It is also more expensive than its WPC counterpart.

Many whey proteins contain either WPC, or a blend between WPI and WPC. These other whey proteins are not of an equivalent quality. Simply look at the nutritional panel to see what type of whey protein(s) are used in the product.

What does the research show for whey protein supplementation?

1. A 2017 double-blind crossover study found that "whey protein supplementation enhances whole-body anabolism, and may improve acute recovery of exercise performance after a strenuous bout of resistance exercise." [1]

Do I need to use exactly 250mL of water (or other liquid) with one serving size?

Although this is our recommended serving suggestion for optimal flavour and texture, this is certainly not necessary. If you prefer a thicker consistency and stronger flavour, you can reduce the liquid component. Alternatively if you prefer a weaker taste, you can increase the total amount of liquid. The 250mL of liquid is to be used as a guide.

The primary raw material, whey protein isolate, has been halal-certified. However, the final product has not been halal-certified by a third party.

What type of rennet is used in the WPI?

The rennet used in the whey protein isolate is microbial. No animal rennet is used.

Why is this product so much cheaper than similar products on the market?

Many other brands incur a high degree of costs associated with producing products. It is not uncommon for a product to be produced by a third-party manufacturer and then shipped (or imported) to a wholesaler. The wholesaler then sells to a retail store, who on-sells to the customer.
