Watermelon Sherbet is a healthy ,low calorie, creamy and refreshing dessert that's sure to give you sweet shivers. Watermelon is an excellent source of vitamin C. It is also rich in vitamin A and vitamin B6. In addition, watermelon is a good source of thiamin, potassium and magnesium.

INGREDIENTS

  Watermelon, seeded, cubed
36 g
  Splenda, powdered
0.10 cup (10 g)
  Milk, powder, skim
0.80 cup (208 g)
  Milk, skim
0.80 teaspoon (4 g)
  Vanilla extract
 

METHOD

  1. Place watermelon in container of an electric blender or food processor; top with cover, and process until smooth. 
  2. Strain puree, reserving juice; discard pulp.  Combine watermelon juice, sugar, and next 3 ingredients; stir well. 
  3. Pour mixture into freezer can of a 2-quart hand-turned or electric freezer.  Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. 
  4. Scoop sherbet into individual dessert compotes. 
  5. Garnish with watermelon wedges, if desired.  Serve immediately.
