A low-fat dessert recipe made of watermelon, rose water and splenda. This cold dessert is great during summer. It will help you keep hydrated and refreshed!

INGREDIENTS

300 g
  watermelon flesh, without rind and seeds, cut into chunks
0.50 teaspoon (3 g)
  rose water
10 g
  splenda no calorie sweetener
0.25 cup (63 g)
  water
 

METHOD

1. Combine the sweetener and water in a small pan and bring to the boil, stirring until  dissolved. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.

2. Puree the watermelon flesh in a blender.Add in syrup and rose water. Pulse for 30 seconds to combine.

3. Transfer into a plastic container and place in the freezer.

4. Leave for 30 - 60 minutes - depending on the strength of your freezer - until it starts to freeze around the edges. Remove and stir well, breaking up the ice crystals, scraping the hard bits from the side. Return to the freezer and repeat the process every 30 minutes, for three or four times. The mixture will become increasingly thick and almost gluey with very fine crystals.

5. Divide the granita into four small glasses and garnish with watermelon slices.

6. Serve and enjoy.
