INGREDIENTS

  Butter, reduced fat
4 g
  Sugar, powdered
0.11 teaspoon (1 g)
  Vanilla Extract
0.11 cup (16 g)
  Flour, white, plain
0.03 teaspoon (0 g)
  Nutmeg, ground
0.11 shake (0 g)
  Salt, iodised
0.08 cup (11 g)
  Walnuts, finely chopped
 

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 3000F(1480C).  In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy.  Stir in the vanilla, flour, nutmeg, salt and walnuts.
  2. Roll the dough into 1-inch calls.  Place the balls about 1 inch apart on a lightly greased baking sheet, pressing each ball with the heel of your hand to a thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  3. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.  Cool on a wire rack.
