These low-fat meatballs with a mild kick can be made with lean ground beef, chicken or turkey. A perfect dish to serve for dinner or to bring along at picnics and potlucks. 

INGREDIENTS

1,500 g
  lean pork, ground
1.50 onion (134 g)
  onion, chopped
3.00 clove (9 g)
  garlic
150 g
  breadcrumbs
2 g
  sea salt
0.38 teaspoon (1 g)
  black pepper, ground
1.50 teaspoon (3 g)
  mixed herbs, dried
45 g
  reduced-fat butter
45 g
  chili sauce, Asian-style
90 g
  sweet and sour sauce, homemade
15 g
  Worcestershire sauce
 

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.

2. Blend the meat with the onion, garlic, bread crumbs, herbs, salt and pepper.

3. Divide meat into walnut-size chunks and roll into balls. Place into the prepared baking sheet

4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

5. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add the chili sauce, sweet and sour sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and meatballs. Cook, stirring occasionally for 5-7 minutes.

6. Place in a serving dish.

7. Serve and enjoy.
