"Gambas" or Spicy Prawns with Garlic is one of the most common dishes in Spain, but it is also a Filipino favorite appetizer or main. Prawns are rich in proteins, various vitamins and minerals. In this recipe, all you need is a simple stir-fry, lots of garlic and a little tomato paste and chili or hot sauce to give it a kick.  It's a quick, easy and healthy way to cook your prawns!

INGREDIENTS

200 g
  Prawns, fresh, peeled and deveined
1.60 clove (5 g)
  Garlic, minced
0.40 tablespoon (9 g)
  Tomato Paste
0.40 Juice of 1 lemon (19 g)
  Lemon Juice
1.20 serve (1 g)
  Tabasco, Hot Sauce
0.40 pepper (13 g)
  Jalapeno Pepper, sliced thinly
0.40 teaspoon (1 g)
  Paprika
1 g
  Sea Salt
1 g
  Black Pepper, ground
0.40 tablespoon (5 g)
  Olive Oil
 

METHOD

1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high, saute garlic until golden about 1-2 minutes.

2. Add tomato paste, lemon juice, tabasco and jalapeno. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.

3. Add prawns and paprika. Cook for 2-3 minutes; Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Transfer to a warmed serving dish, sprinkle with the parsley and serve at once.
