QUICK FACTS
SUMMARY
A popular Latin American coffee drink consists of brewed coffee, milk with a hint of spice like cinnamon. Serve this on your next Mexican theme dinner.
INGREDIENTS
METHOD
1. Prepare your coffee. Strong brew. If you have a coffee press, use it.
2. Then, pour milk into a small saucepan pan and add a stick of cinnamon. Boil gently for about a minute or until heated through, stirring often to prevent the formation of a skin on the surface. Remove the cinnamon stick with a slotted spoon.
3. Pour the hot milk into the coffee. Serve with the cinnamon stick.
4. Add Splenda to taste and — here’s the cool part — use the cinnamon stick to stir the sweetener into the coffee until dissolved.
