Easy to assemble though it didn't come with instructions so had to look at the photo online. Comes with wall brackets to fix above door frame which the flat bar can slide into if using as chin up bar. As we are using it while staying in a rental apartment we didn't use wall brackets and it can still be used for chin ups. Hand grips are good quality and comfortable. I recommend this bar and I use it all the time.
