Jay's Quest for Strength!

If you follow my blog, you would have read about my poor attempt at the "Test of Strength" carnival game on New Years Eve. This was mentioned within my "training for a specific event" post last month. Having never used a sledge hammer before (nor having any idea as to how to use one effectively), my score was so pathetic that it did not even warrant a slinky prize! In actual fact, I was just happy I managed to hit the target!

Consequently, I have set myself a challenge - to go back to this game and give it another shot. The only difference is that next time (this weekend), I will have five weeks of sledge-hammer and strength specific training under my belt! Having trained very specifically and consistently for this event, I will be putting all the theory into practice to evaluate the degree to which my strength (on this game) has improved. Be sure to check out my blog next week for the results and a full rundown of exactly what I did to accomplish these changes.
