Really interesting question. Here are some results from a study of women:
In a study conducted with 20 people, 75% of the participants had increased endurance, 80% had increased libido and sexual performance and 95% reported no PMS symptoms.
Tribulus and female infertility
Tribulus aided ovulation in more than 60% of infertile women.
Tribulus and Menopause
European research showed tribulus terrestris helps with a feeling of well being at the menopause. It aids the body's management of menopause symptoms such as:
Hot flashes
Perspiration
Depression
Insomnia
Anxiety
Sense of heaviness in the cardiac region
Low or very low libido
So overall a very positive result and very good for both women and men. I think tribulus is a great supplement, particularly for libido. If you are interested in purchasing some, please contact me as I do have it available at a highly discounted price. |

| thanks for getting back to me on this one Jay. Do you think it would be useful for me in regards to my training - weight loss and hypertrophy? I've heard people have had great results but I've also been told that all the tribulus does is stimulate the leydig cells in mens testies? Does it encourage testosterone production for women as well?? |

There is a big question mark with weight loss and hypertrophy. Whether or not tribulus does have an effect is up for debate because not too much research has been conducted. What you would need to do is to try it yourself and give it a whirl. If it doesn't work, then at least you gave it a go, and it can't hurt with the health benefits that it does posess for women.
With respect to testosterone production in women, I did come across one study that suggested that testosterone is "slightly" affected in women. Bare in mind that tribulus works completely differently to steroids, DHEA and the like - you are not going to experience similar side-effects at all. |
