NEWS ARTICLE:

Well, it's official - I'm really excited to announce that I've been chosen as the 2005 BodyBlitz Grand Champion by Australian Ironman Magazine!

I received my copy of Australian IronMan in the mail on Monday and there I was on the front cover with Penny Mackinnon (the very lovely female champion).  Turn to page 70 and there I am over the next 8 pages.  Plus, I'll be featured in each issue of Australian IronMan over the next 12 months!

IronMan flew me down to Melbourne in late January this year after I was initially notified that I was the overall champion.  Down there I met up with the managing director of Blitz Publications - Silvio Morelli who presented me with my big novelty $5000 cheque - always wanted one of those :)  I then spent the next three days doing photo shoots with both Penny and Peter Miran (the IronMan Editor).  It was an absolute blast, from sabotaging Peter's bench press right through to the Grand Champions Dinner.

I completed my 12 week challenge on November 22nd 2005.  Even till this day I still receive very encouraging comments from people who saw my progress over the 12 weeks and that I've stayed in this shape (some to whom I have never spoken a word to before!).  Many of these people have used my achievements as motivation to make changes it their own life - I just can't explain the great feeling this brings to me.  So as a result, I have set up this online resource to help more and more people gain the right information and motivation to get their mind and body into the shape that they want.  Over the next few months I'll be posting a lot of articles on how I achieved my results over the 12 weeks - from diet and nutrition, to psychology, training and support.  If you have any requests at all - please forward them to me!

Big thanks goes out to the people at Blitz Publications - in particular Peter Miran with whom I spent the majority of my time in Melbourne with.  Also a huge thanks to Josh Dickinson who has provided me with invaluable advice before, during and after my challenge.  Josh has his own website, Physique Essentials and also contributes to Amino Z.

Finally - if you don't have access to this months copy of Australian IronMan - click on the images below!
