After a few years of having fun and travelling, I decided it was time to tone up and get my fitness back. I had started doing some weights and regular cardio but was not seeing the results for the effort I felt I was investing. I couldn’t lose the extra kilos and knew I needed some help with my training techniques and particularly my diet.

I found Amino Z on the net and was immediately impressed with the comprehensive website and the capacity to complete online personal training. I knew I wasn’t looking for the motivation provided by expensive one on one training and after talking with Jay realised I could do it cheaper and better online while still getting regular updates and advice from a reputable personal trainer.

Though I went into it a little nervous, over the twelve weeks Jay lived up to all his promises and delivered an excellent diet and exercise plan that met all my needs. He gave me the support I was looking for to complete the twelve weeks and the knowledge and confidence to go forward with a more structured and sustainable approach to exercise and nutrition for the future. I am on my way now to completing my first marathon and have many other goals that I can look to with a renewed sense of positivity and motivation.

Jay is a great personal trainer and a fantastic guy to work with. He was sensible, practical and focused on sustainable goals throughout the twelve weeks while also pushing me beyond what I thought I could achieve in such a short period. Adrian initially contacted us with some goals that he had been chasing unsuccessfully on his own:

  • To lose approximately 5kg of weight
  • Reduce body fat around the stomach/hips area
  • Increase muscle size, particularly in the upper body
  • Improve general health
  • Improve his understanding of exercise and nutrition

Over the 12 weeks that Adrian and I were training together, he lost a staggering 8.5kg and significantly reduced his waistline. Upper body strength improved significantly too, with dramatic improvements on all resistance based work. Adrian's fitness sky-rocketed, setting new personal best's on a regular basis.

What I loved most about training with Adrian was his passion and dedication to the programme. Although I developed some very challenging tasks for him to accomplish, he always came through with flying colours.

His 12 week challenge was not a perfect run by any means. There were a few setbacks, as we can all expect from time-to-time. Plus, he had access to very limited equipment training in a confined space at his residence. However none of these obstacles were tough enough to overcome and we worked together very effectively to find solutions to anything that stood in his way of success.

What I am most excited about is Adrian's new passion for health and fitness. He really took on board the aspects to training and nutrition that we discussed and is now implementing them into his lifestyle with a long-term focus. His 12 weeks of training did not end at the 12 week mark, rather it is now a long-term project to set and accomplish new and even more exciting goals.

Congratulations again Adrian - you've done a stand-up job and the results speak for themselves!

Additional note: Several weeks after the conclusion of Adrian's training with us at Amino Z, he is very happy to report that he has further reduced his weight to 82kg with continued consistent training. This is double his original weight loss goal! He is now very excited to be focussed on a couple of marathons this year!
